*nodnod* It does sound like they're treating the fics exactly like works for hire, without the conditions of the fics' creation actually having anything to do with those generally associated with works for hire. I wonder how legal that would turn out to be if a judge actually had to look at it. Really looking forward to the lawyers' analysis.
