Yeah. The thing that worries me about this particular new incarnation of the monster is that it's Amazon announcing it, and the news is being covered all around the regular blogosphere etc. I sure hope Amazon doesn't end up setting a standard with this and/or creating more confusion about whether fic writers need permission.
