Ah, the graphics capability link between fanlib and myfandoms is interesting. I hadn't thought of considering the technical capabilities of the site options that were available at the time. Have just started reading the whole Life Without Fanlib chronologically instead of in random order, maybe someone mentioned MyFandoms at the time.

(Re: the spamming - FH says the following on their page on MyFandoms' fanficfan software: From at least February, 2008, a member of fanficfan used aggressive marketing tactics - such as spamming forums and emailing archive member lists.[1] - to promote fanficfan and its sister site, MyFandoms.com. These emails and forum posts put down both FanLib and FanFiction.Net, and began to annoy some of their potential users. [2] The annoyance was great enough to cause one site owner to complain both to fanficfan.com and to the spammer's ISP.[3] Fanficfan argues that the tactic is not marketing because there is no money involved, and has suggested that the e-mails are being sent between members[citation needed] ." I never knew it's not spamming when there's no money involved :)
