Thanks for the info on terminology: I did not know that! Of course, I'd heard rumbles of the "canon gay or lesbian relationship" is not slash, but I hadn't really thought it all through (how that could change terminology as well as a lot of other assumptions). there are many different fannish cultures/terminologies, and we're all used to our sandboxes.
